20 weeks!

Wow! I can't believe I am halfway done with this pregnancy. Even though the actual pregnancy is pretty much the same as with Kayleigh, it is so different. For one, I have no time to sit back and enjoy or worry about this pregnancy. Don't worry I am definitely enjoying being pregnant. I even spoiled myself and got a whole new line of maternity clothes and its probably questionable as to whether or not I needed them.

I LOVE that I can feel this little girl so much so early. She is already making her presence known and making sure I give her little bouts of attention here and there. I have a feeling shes going to be a pisser (in a good way). She is a great tenant just like her big sister was. The only complaint is my heartburn which I also suffered with Kayleigh. It's totally tolerable but I am one of those people where the annoying is way worse that all out pain. I would rather be in pain for a short time then being bothered by an ailment for most of the day.

As for weight gain, I weighed myself at a friends house and I am -2 pounds from my first prenatal visit. I have a surprise for all of you. I am actually going to post a belly picture. Now, it doesn't really look like a belly pic because I am not showing that much but maybe it will get some of you off my back! jk :)

Names: Riley, Niamh, Delaney

That is all for now! I hope to start posting every five weeks so check back then for an update.

Embrace the Camera - 9/22/2011

Long time no write!

Nothing much is new with me. I am about 19 weeks along with my pregnancy and feeling great! I am just tired but I think that is due to the 18 month old I chase around for twelve hours a day! lol. Anyways I just wanted to share a few photos from our embrace the camera photo shoot this week. I'm pretty tired so this is going to be a quick post.

Melt in your mouth Pot Roast recipe!

Giant Eagle had a pretty amazing 2 for 1 deal on bottom round roasts this past week and you better believe I snatched a few to stock my freezer with. I did make one this past Sunday and let me tell you...it was divine. It's very simple and I just used what I had in my fridge and pantry (which was unusually stocked to the brim due to company and parties that occurred in weeks past).

I am NOT a recipe person. In fact I usually drive anyone who follows a recipe to the tee, insane. I did however try and record what I did for my pot roast so that I could share it with my friends. I know a lot of my fellow Ohio moms took advantage of the Giant Eagle deal so I wanted to post it A.S.A.P.

Here it is:

  • 1 (2-3 pound) bottom round roast
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 package of dry onion soup mix
  • half-whole bag of baby carrots or just use about 6 large carrots sliced up (I like using a lot of carrots because of the baby)
  • 3 stalks of celery diced up
  • 1 medium to large onion sliced
  • 3 scallions (green and white parts) diced
  • 3-5 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 6 red potatoes quartered
There are the ingredients...are you ready for the next step? Throw everything in a crock pot and stir well. Cover and cook for 6 hours on high. I didn't do anything to the meat, but you can trim the fat to make it more figure friendly. After about 5 hours if you pick the meat up with a fork it will just fall apart. Are you drooling yet?

I served this over some egg noodles which was FANTASTIC! I don't have any pictures of my masterpiece but from now on I will try and take pictures of recipes I make that I want to share. Enjoy!

Life is good....at the beach!

So as most of you know we spent a whopping three weeks in Sunset Bay, New York. If you don't know about Sunset, it is a little bay about thirty minutes west of Buffalo on Lake Erie. It has all the pluses of going to the ocean without salt getting in your eyes. That's how I see it anyways.

Kayleigh's first experience with Sunset was when she was about four months old. She pretty much slept the whole time. This visit was very different! She played in the sand for probably 8-10 hours a day. One day she tried to be like a few of the older kids at the beach and dragged me into the water until it was up to her neck. She then got angry at me when I wouldn't let go of her hand. I think it's safe to say we have a little water guppy on our hands.

Here are some pictures from 2010 and 2011 of our wonderful stay at Sunset Bay, U.S.A.!

Kayleigh spent a lot of time with Granny Patti

We spent a lot of time with family. Kiki and Poppa were there, along with my cousins, great grandparents and Godparents. I'm not going to even get into all the friends that showed up to dig in the sand with me!

This was my view every morning!

So much has changed in one year!

So long Sunset, see you next year!
